OmniGet gains a chat of its own. Turn on "Chat (OmniDisc)" in Settings and the app connects to a server you host yourself for text, voice, screen sharing and file transfer with the people you choose, without a third party in the middle. Direct messages and the files sent in them are end-to-end encrypted with MLS, and the key for an encrypted call is derived from that same group rather than handed out by the server, so the operator of an instance cannot listen in. Voice runs entirely in Rust instead of the web view, which keeps a call under five percent of one core; screen sharing on macOS captures with ScreenCaptureKit and encodes with the machine's own VideoToolbox, so 1440p at 120 frames a second is hardware work rather than processor work, and per-application audio lets you share a game's sound without sharing everything else. The feature is off by default and is new, so treat it as such: screen capture and per-application audio are macOS-only for now, and Windows and Linux get text, files and voice. Separately, the banner that appears when yt-dlp is missing used to display the names of its own translation strings instead of a sentence, because those strings existed in no language at all. Traditional Chinese shipped as a language but appeared in neither language menu, and Russian was missing from the one shown during setup; both are now offered wherever the others are. Windows builds link the C runtime statically and no longer require the Visual C++ redistributable, and the Debian package now declares the audio library it needs instead of failing at first launch.

|

Opening Settings could bring the machine to its knees. Each dependency row ran an effect that read its own loading flag and then wrote it, so every finished round trip scheduled the next one — and the archived-versions lookup behind it called the routine that downloads yt-dlp and starts a freshness check and a JS-runtime check, spawning a yt-dlp and a deno process every pass. Locating a binary no longer starts anything. Cancelled downloads stay cancelled: a removed item could be recreated by a progress event still in flight, finish its bar and sit in the list refusing to be removed. Six command palette entries showed raw translation keys because the keys existed nowhere; they now reuse the sidebar's own names, and the three entries that duplicated navigation exactly were removed in favour of the paste action that was translated in every language and never wired up. Bilibili collection links of the channel/collectiondetail form downloaded the uploader's entire channel instead of the collection. Instagram Reels whose metadata exposes only a cover image are downloaded as video instead of being saved as a JPG and reported as a successful video. On macOS the browser-login window now reads the WebView's own cookie store, so HttpOnly session cookies are captured instead of silently missing — the reason a visibly logged-in Hotmart session still reported itself as unauthenticated. A custom PDFium is reported as installed and is actually loaded by the reader, instead of being recorded, displayed and ignored. The batch download mode selector is back for multiple URLs. And building from source no longer needs the release signing key.
