- Both pipeline lowerings catch the arg-type marker the finished paths already caught; provably-invalid stages throw Node's synchronous ERR_INVALID_ARG_TYPE in every position
- Accepted-but-unlowered sources fence naming what Node accepts; finished(null) joins the isNodeStream ladder
