- **Compression:** The one-shot `deflate`, `inflate`, `deflateRaw`, `inflateRaw`, `gzip`, `gunzip`, and `unzip` functions and their `Sync` forms accept Node's options, validated at run time, including `dictionary`, `maxOutputLength`, and `rejectGarbageAfterEnd`.

Typed inputs are strings, Buffers, and Uint8Arrays; untyped JavaScript values may also be other TypedArrays, DataViews, and ArrayBuffers.
|
|
The `info` option is unsupported.
|
|
The `Deflate`, `Inflate`, `Gzip`, `Gunzip`, `DeflateRaw`, `InflateRaw`, and `Unzip` streams, from `createGzip()` and the other factories or `new zlib.Gzip()`, accept Node's options and support writes, piping, `pipeline`, async iteration, `flush`, `params`, `close`, `reset`, and `bytesWritten`.

Each output chunk is its own Buffer rather than a slice of a shared chunk-size buffer.
|
|
`zlib.constants` members and their module-level copies read as Node's values.
|
|
The Brotli one-shots `brotliCompress` and `brotliDecompress` and their `Sync` forms, and the `BrotliCompress` and `BrotliDecompress` streams, accept Node's options, including `params` and `dictionary`, and produce the same bytes as Node.
|
|
`util.inspect` and Zstd compression are unsupported.
