The pre-release Linux matrix flaked on `rust_fake_codex_exercises_recovery_and
_defensive_failures`: for an abrupt process exit the stdout reader ("...ended
before replying") and the stderr monitor ("...ended before completing") race on
which observes EOF first. Both are correct early-exit errors; the test asserted
the racy tail, so a loaded runner saw the other branch. Assert the shared,
meaningful prefix ("recovery process ended before") instead — deterministic, and
still verifies an abrupt exit is surfaced as a re-auth error. Test-only.
